That douche Mike Goldberg was so biased - praising every little movement of Randy ... with Brock it's just "he's so big".
Brock had a great gameplan - against the king of gameplanning.
The ref was also clearly biased - Don't get me wrong, the match was reffed fairly... but wow, Randy ate about 20 hammer fists before the ref stops it. If it was ANYONE ELSE it woulda been stopped after 3 or 4 punches following the knockdown where Randy was virtually out.

I agree with Donnie, After the 4th or 5th shot I was cursing the ref for not stopping it right away.

I'm crushed that Randy lost but I'm not surprised Brock won. I don't see too many fighters beating Lesnar now.

I agree with Donnie, After the 4th or 5th shot I was cursing the ref for not stopping it right away. Yeah, but that was probably kind of a good thing. This way, there can be no excuses about the ref "stopping the fight too soon"... He gave Randy the benefit of the doubt, and gave him every chance to fight back and defend himself. Which he couldn't. If the ref would have stopped it after three or four shots (after Randy was down), you'd have probably had a riot in the arena there. (Since Brock's got so much heat with MMA wanker "purists" for being a "phony pro wrestler".) And in a title match, the ref usually gives a guy bit more lee-way anyway, before calling for the bell. "Controversial" calls in title matches ain't a good thing. Brock's gonna make a lot of money for the UFC. He's a monster heel champ, who the afore-mentioned MMA dorks/wankers can't stand. And they'll pay big money in hopes of seeing someone knock him off. Bottom line? Brock beat Couture. How many people are there in the world could potentially do that?! (Regardless of whether they're a seasoned MMA guy, a professional wrestler, an amateur wrestler, or a freakin' fisherman?) Waiting those extra few seconds before calling the fight gives the MMA marks nothing to cry or complain about.

A LOT of UFC marks were crying when Rampage killed Chuck they were saying the fight was called early but his eyes were CLEARLY glazed over. So Mags is right it is a good thing. There's been a few fights this year that people have been whining about actually.
Ps imagine if Randy would have slammed Lesnar. It would have been like Hogan slamming Andre.

In my opinion, the ref was giving Randy every POSSIBLE opportunity to recover, assuming Brock would blow himself up.
I counted this morning............Lesnar threw 40 FREAKIN UNPROTECTED SHOTS before the fight was stopped! FORTY!!!
40!!!!!
Just like the fight against Mir. Brock had it won, and ref didn't stop it. Mir caught the heel after Lesnar was blown up from filling his face with fists.

Ok someone has to be the asshole here and say it, so it may as well be me... Did anyone other than me think the first shot that knocked Couture down look weak?
I know, Brock is a big sumbitch and something that looks as harmless as a glancing blow could more then likley take my head off. But this is just a thought from someone who only this last year really started following UFC.

The live angle made it look like a glancing blow. The reverse angle showed it caught Randy square on the side of the head. Sometimes those perfectly placed, awkward shots are worse than one right on the jaw.
Think of the jab that Petrozelli used on Kimbo.... I guarantee you this shot from Brock was WAY harder than that...

I was told a story about how Brock completely embarassed Batista in a backstage arm wrestling contest once. Batista was apparently turning red and grunting, and popping veins out of his head, while Brock was just smiling and toying with him. Then Brock just put him down without breaking a sweat. Everyone I've talked to, who has been in the ring with him, says you can't even imagine how freakishly strong he is.
What I was wondering about Brock's knockdown on Randy: Perhaps the shot tweaked Randy's neck a bit or something? Like gave him some really quick rotational whiplash kinda thing? (Rather than the damage coming from the actual impact of the blow...)
