Ryan McBride defeated Greg Excellent & Jon Dahmer
CJ ODoyle defeated JC Ryder
Iron Saints defeated Team AnDrew
Match of the night. Andy Sumner's pulled off a killer spot with a Samoan Drop to both Iron Saints at once.
Niles Young defeated Ruckus, after Derek Frazier interfered
Sabian defeated Derek Frazier
The more notable moment of the night and this match occurred when Noel Harlow (who had been at ringside during the match) slapped a fan. Post-match, Niles Young (who had also been at ringside) head-butted a fan. Neither incident was part of the show, nor were either of the incidents provoked by anything more than normal fan reaction to the two as heels.
Toby Klein defeated DJ Hyde to win the CZW Iron Man Title
Zandig's promised Q&A took place. Here are the highlights:
When asked about Super Dragon, Zandig replied that "he has a big internet following", then claimed Dragon had "hit a fan" and "needed some time away".
When asked about Kevin Steen, Zandig started with the "internet following" comment again, until a fan loudly interrupted and said "we're here, John...we're not the Internet. All the fans paid to be here and want to see Steen." Zandig then said that the reason Kevin Steen wasn't booked was his numerous indy bookings and the fact that "only 2 of the Canadians drive".
Others asked about including Mike Quakenbush, Mark and Jay Briscoe were cited as having scheduling conflicts.
Only B-Boy and Super Dragon were citred as being possible returns.
In answer to another question. Zandig also "it's not a problem to replace" Chris Hero and Kingston. He may be the only person who feels that. many fans, including this writer, don't think its going to be so easy...even if Hero had pretty much wound up his run.
Back to the show....
Taped Ultraviolent Underground Match:
Drake Younger defeated Danny Havoc
Cheech defeated Reefer
CZW Junior Heavyweight title match
Vortekz successfully defended his CZW Junior Heavyweight title, defeating Cloudy
CZW Ultraviolent Underground Title Match (barbed wire ropes/barbed wire board/panes of glass match)
Brain Damage defeated Drake Younger to win the Ultraviolent Underground Title.
This was a sick match designed to shill next month's Tournament, with Younger bleeding like a stuck pig. Post match, Mitch Ryder, inexplicably in the building...and not working a match (how about him in a match instead of a taped Ultraviolent Underground match!?!). DJ Hyde come out to help Brain Damage to beat on Younger. Toby Klein and Lobo, to one of the louder pops of the night, make the save.
The announced Heavyweight Title match didn't take place as Zandig indicated during his Q&A that Justice Pain (who works as an ironworker), had gotten a piece of metal in his eye at work, and couldn't work the match last night.
