The DOI has been informed from several sources that ROH would not allow Iron Sheik nor Super Jewish Agent to the Stars, the Arli$$ of the Indies, Eric Simms attend their Chicago show this weekend.
According to all of our sources, Honky Tonk Man was added to ROH this week because he was in the area for a Wizard World convention. Bushwhacker Luke hooked the deal up, as Luke and ROH promoter Cary Silken are good friends.
However, when Simms inquired about himself and Sheik about appearing, since they were at the same convention as Honky, (as Simms handles some of Honky's bookings too), Simms was told by Luke that ROH did not want Sheik or Simms there because of all the business they do with RFVideo. This is very hypocritical as Honky Tonk Man himself has done at least 5 projects with RFVideo in the last few years.
Over the past few months Simms and Sheik got RFVideo on the Howard Stern show, even having Howard plug RFVideo.com several times. RFVideo has done about 5 different shoots with Sheik in a one year span and I guess ROH is feeling that Sheik is too associated with RFVideo. It is no secret to this day that ROH & RFVideo can not stand each other, going back to their business split over four years ago.
One person close to the situation also told me that ROH "feared" having Sheik there, as Sheik is not exactly the most easiest guy to keep under control. However, I think ROH dropped the ball here, because after all, who wouldn't want to hear Sheik call Nigel McGuinness a "no good piece of shit mfer"? I've been told that Eric Simms will have a column about all of this soon, exclusively here, on the DOI.
