Yes, I have an unfortunate disability and since a pretty bad sun burn will be keeping me out of the gym for a week or two, I figured now is as good a time as any to find out how to work around it...
I can't gain weight. It's terrible. I've been going to the gym for the past six months and in that time I've managed to gain between five and ten pounds but for the last few months I haven't been able to break the 190 mark. I usually hover anywhere between 184 and 187.
Aside from butter-eating, I'm not quite sure what to do, and I figured if anyone would have a solution, it might be people on an indy wrestling message board. (The View's message board wasn't as helpful as I initially thought.)
So any suggestions?

I... I have another confession to make. I haven't been able to drink beer since New Year's. I blame five keg stands for that. Ironically, the only beer I can stomach is Molson Canadian which was in the keg on that fateful night...
So cheeseburgers, wings and beer. *makes a shopping list*

For a more serious answer, I assume protien drinks might give you a hand.

Five to 10 pounds of lean mass every "few months" is awesome. Wish I could do that. Keep working out, eating right, and stop being impatient. Stop expecting to SEE results. Put the dedication in, and you'll get there eventually. There are no shorts cuts. Period. (Or any "short cuts" that DO get you ahead? What you gain while taking those "short cuts", you'll lose as soon as you stop.) Slow and steady wins the race; yadda, yadda, yadda...
P.S.: I'll bet... a) you're not eating enough b) you're not eating enough protein c) you're not training as "efficiently" as you could be d) you're not drinking enough water
Fix those up first.

Now THERE is an answer. Thank you kindly, Magnoodles. (Heck, thanks to everyone else too. ) I guess I am expecting too much too soon. Although I'll admit one of the happiest days of my life came when I was jogging down a set of stairs and I felt my man-boobs actually jiggle. That's how I knew when I was making process.

I addition to Mags brilliant post, I must add sleep to the equation. Without proper rest and 8-10 hrs a night of quality sleep, you wont be able to grow properly.
Most guys think they eat enough. I cant count the amount of times Ive heard "I cant gain weight, even though I eat soooo much"... my answer is always the same:
Until you are downing 4 litres of milk, at least 6 chicken breasts, 2 dozen eggs and 6 potatoes a day, in addition to other meals, you arent eating enough...
Chocolate milk is my secret (seriously)... easy to stomach and adds quality calories and the necessary sugars you might need...
