Match of the Half-year Candidates

Anyone got any half-year Match of the Year Candidates so far?
Here's a couple:


Styles/Daniels vs AMW- Slammiversary 06
Lethal Lockdown- Lockdown 06
Angle vs Undertaker- No Way Out 06
Xscape X Division Match- Lockdown 06

I definately agree with Taker and Angle No Way Out 06. Here is a match that every predicted that Angle would make Taker look great. Cause let's be honest Taker wasn't performing the way he used to be. When I finished watching that match I must have told everybody on my MSN list who would listen that the match was Math Of The Year quality. Both men put on a phenomenal show and they are the reason I actually bought the No way Out DVD.

The idea behind the Punjubia Prison match was kind of ok. They should have pushed it more to let the fans know how it would work. Remember how the Elimation Chamber was pushed. As for how Undertaker and Big Show wrestled, it was a bad match. I dont understand why Big Show looked like he was going to cry. Also why the hell did Kali try to interfer with the match by climbing the cage on the other side of where Undertaker & Show were. I heard the real reason Kali was taking off the match was it was live and they could not edit the match for tv.

I really have not been watching that much wrestling from the Big 2; at least on Pay Per View; and on free T. V. I havn't really seen too many match of the year quality matches. There was a Carlito/RVD match from Raw I believe back in February...

Also, Edge vs Mick Foley from Wrestlemania I enjoyed; but really; this year hasn't been strong for MOTYC's from the big promotions like we would have witnessed ten years ago.

The Punjabi Prison Match was THE WORST gimmick match in the last 10-15 years in the WWE. No hype of what the damn thing would look like, no good opponent for Taker to face (let's face it, Khali is shit) and it's on LIVE PPV!

I heard the reason that Khali was taken off this PPV is because of a health problem, not because it was live TV. taker and Khali were actually supposed to do the Last Man Standing match at Summerslam, but then the writers said "We can;t have Khali on the second biggest PPV of the year", so they put an ECW title match on instead.
