TNA iMPACT! TO TELECAST ON SPIKE TV!

New York, NY (July 21, 2005) – TNA Entertainment, LLC has signed a deal with Spike TV to telecast TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling’s weekly action athletic entertainment series “iMPACT!” The weekly one-hour show will join Spike TV’s popular “Slammin’ Saturday Night” programming block starting this Fall, taping at Soundstage 21 at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.

The new wrestling alternative, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s iMPACT! delivers a distinct brand of high-risk, live-action athletic entertainment. TNA’s roster includes some of the most exciting and recognizable stars in wrestling today such as, Jeff Jarrett, Raven, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Abyss, Sean Waltman, Christopher Daniels, Monty Brown and others. I'll be watching. I haven't read the spoilers either, just saw the card. I'm honestly more excited to see TNA premiere on Spike TV tonight than the WWE Homecoming show this Monday.

What a great Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelly match. I hope TNA kicks WWE's ass. Vince needs competition to improve his product.

You know wrestling popularity goes up and down in cycles. I've always said this:

Wrestling was at it's peak in 1986 with the Hogan era
in 1996 with the Bret Hart, Austin, Shawn Michaels, NWO era
and it will peak once again in 2006 and I think TNA is going to do to wrestling what the NWO did for wrestling in '96.

Tonight's show was great! Styles was showcased, Brown dominated, the 3-Way was awesome and they let Williams hit the CD after the match. Main Event was predictable but still good. Brawl at the end was a great way to end the show and debut Team 3-D.

Can't wait till next week!

Im a bit said that they only get to bust out 4 matches a night, but then again, its better than nothing, and all the matches were awesome. Just wish they had more.
