IWA Death Match Championship
DRAKE YOUNGER vs CJ OTIS
On March 31, Drake Younger and CJ Otis tried their best to kill one another in a brutal Last Man Standing Match. After two vicious Burning Hammers onto a scattered pile of steel chairs, CJ Otis managed to keep Drake Younger down long enough for the ten count. Drake was immediately on his feet, proclaiming that "it wasn't over." Drake brought up the fact that CJ Otis was trained by Sabu, and challenged him to take it the extreme, just as his teacher would.
Hardcore returns to Midlothian, Saturday afternoon, April 28, as Drake Younger and CJ Otis do battle one more time in the final chapter of their rocky feud. It's going to be Barbwire Bats, Barbwire Boards, and No Rope Barbwire! If Drake Younger manages to make it past Ian Rotten at "April Bloodshowers" in Plainfield on April 6, this will be for the IWA Death Match Title.
***INDIAN STRAP MATCH for the IWA World Light-Heavyweight Title***
JOSH ABERCROMBIE vs BRANDON THOMASELLI
Brandon Thomaselli made his quest for Josh Abercrombie's IWA World Light-Heavyweight Title a lot more personal several weeks ago when he took a leather belt off the referee and proceeded to whip him repeatedly across the back. On April 14, Brandon Thomaselli ended the near 15 month title reign of Josh Abercrombie in a brutal TLC match. In Midlothian, Josh will have his opportunity to regain the IWA World Light-Heavyweight Title in an Indian Strap Match.
***DOUBLE DOG-COLLAR MATCH***
IRON SAINTS (VITO & SAL THOMASELLI) vs NORTH STAR EXPRESS (DARIN CORBIN & RYAN CRUZ) w/ Joey Eastman
With his new tag-team the North Star Express, Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz, absent from the last Midlothian show, Joey Eastman enlisted the services of Elgin and Ash to go up against Vito and Sal Thomaselli. After the Saints defeated Elgin and Ash, it appeared that Joey Eastman was going to be disposed of, but narrowly escaped. Eastman will have his boys with him on April 28, as all four men will have dog collars placed around their necks, with chains connected, one to another. With bad blood thats been going on between the two teams since October, this one is sure to get nasty.
Added 4/25:
***IWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP***
CHUCK TAYLOR vs JOEY "MAGNUM" RYAN
Chuck Taylor has been IWA World Champion for nearly 7 months. There's no denying the competitors he's defended against: Ian Rotten, Colt Cabana, Arik Cannon, Jay Lethal, Steve Corino, Davey Richards, Tracy Smothers, Drake Younger and even LOW KI. His tactics and behavior have been questionable throughout the past few months. But this Saturday, Chuck Taylor will face the man that's "bringing sleazy back," PWG and WSX star Joey "Magnum" Ryan. Who will resort to the most underhanded tactics to walk out with the belt?
IAN ROTTEN vs "THE STRONG STYLE PSYCHO" TANK
Ian Rotten has been looking forward to a fight on April 28 for several weeks now. After Steve Corino was taken off this show, Ian decided to get someone to replace him that would give the Midlothian fans just that: a good FIGHT. This one will not be for the squeamish as "The Strong Style Psycho" Tank will square off with "The Undisputed King of Hardcore" Ian Rotten in a strong style battle of epic proportions.
ARROGANCE (CHRIS BOSH & SCOTT LOST) vs ASH & "UNREAL" MICHAEL ELGIN
Returning to IWA Mid-South since their debut at the 2006 Ted Petty Invitational will be California tag-team specialists Chris Bosh and Scott Lost, known as Arrogance. They will meet the Canadian newcomers that have been making quite a splash on the tag-team scene here in IWA, "Unreal" Michael Elgin and Ash.
