International School of Wrestling Opens
The International School of Wrestling welcomes its first class on June 19th, 1:30 pm at Bogey’s World. Led by head trainer Exess this new school will train young wrestlers for the squared circle. It is an unprecedented collaboration between multiple Quebec wrestling organizations including the Championship Wrestling Association (CWA), and the International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS).
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn to wrestle. The school will emphasize the fundamentals of wrestling and give students an opportunity to learn the various styles of wrestling found the world over.
Students will be introduced to the high-flying cruiserweight style currently very popular in the US independent scene, and the more old school story driven style of the WWE. Students will also learn the increasingly popular “IWS” style which combines elements of high-flying Mexican Lucha Libre and hard-hitting Japanese Puroreso with Quebec Lutte for a style that has sent more than a dozen wrestlers to the United States in the last year, as well as Japan, England and Germany.
Head trainer Exess is one of Quebec's premier independent wrestlers with a strong background in mat wrestling. He is known for his high flying and his seemingly unlimited knowledge of submission moves. He has been invited to wrestle in the United States multiple times to demonstrate that IWS style and now he will teach a new generation of professional wrestlers how to succeed in the squared circle.
Guest trainers from both Quebec and the United States will be invited to work with the students and help teach them the do's and don'ts of professional wrestling. The independent scene in Quebec is quickly being noticed the world over and students of this school will become part of the backstage of Quebec's burgeoning promotions.
If you dream of standing center ring in front of thousands of screaming wrestling fans or if you are just an enthusiast looking for a hobby in professional wrestling, the new International School of Wrestling is the place to take that first step.
The International School of Wrestling will be holding an open house at Bogey’s World on June 12th at 1:30 pm. For more information
