Check out my website at chrishalen.cjb.net as it is now "THE SHOOT FILES" where I give my comments on the WWE, NWA-TNA, and especially the Indy's. And, especially the Indy's of Buffalo, Rochester, and Ontario. This is the first week, and it's a "nicer" article, but in the upcoming weeks, I will be a little less gentle and well, basically shoot on whatever I please. I'm not an active worker anymore, so it won't effect my bookings...hehe. It includes the LINK OF THE WEEK TOO!! chrishalen.cjb.netAnd please, post your comments on the article on the NO DQ forum at www.nodqwrestling.com. Soon, "The Shoot Files" will replace my column on NO DQ called "To The Extreme". By the way, my other column "Inside the Indy's" will be staying around and soon I will get back on that as well. Great article. I enjoyed reading it. I agree that Eddie Osbourne is one of the best workers in Ontario/NY right now. I see great things in his future.
Everyone should check out the site it's worth the read.

Glad you liked it. Over the next few weeks I am going to go more "in depth" with it, like I did on my old radio show.
Yes, I see big things for Eddie as well. I never get tired seeing him wrestle. One of the matches I will be going into on my site over the next few weeks as one of my favorites involved Eddie. I had the pleasure of managing the heels and booking the match.
OSPW Civil War Match (8 Man Survivor Series Elimination Match)
Team Halen (Eddie Osbourne, Jessy Jones, Prince of Power, and Shawn Spears)
Vs.
Team Mandrake (Marc Mandrake, TJ Harley, J Rocc, and Fabulous)
Everyone thought the match was going to be a clusterf*ck but I was very happy with the results, and the place went nuts!

I can't say enough good things about Osbourne either. From day one he made himself receptive to learning anything and everything he could to progress in our business and since I first met him a few years ago I'm proud of the things he's accomplished and proud to heve helped in any way I could. Put quite simply he is a great talent and has one ting that can't be taught...Charisma.
Keep makin an impact Eddie

Thanks everyone for putting me over. I will probably still snot on you if you are across the ring from me on any given night.
Chris you should archive all the shoots so people can check all your articles out, instead of just the current one.
I look forward to the "Liecensed To Kill." Nov 6th, OSPW is back baby!! even though it was never really gone.
See you then Chris

I was going to archieve them, but to be honest...it's too much work. I use my personal site as just a means to bitch about pro wrestling and the Indy's. I would rather make sure my efforts go into helping Brandon out with the OSPW site. oldschoolpro.cjb.netAnd Eddie, Vito is right. You are late on your payments. Don't make me start to put over Shawn Spears again.

Oh, you are right Eddie too....OSPW never really went away. Just took 3 months off. Perfect timing too, with, well you know...the booker breaking his back and everything! At least this gives OSPW TV time to catch up to all the shows we taped! Right now on OSPW TV....Mandrake is still Champ! By the time of November 6th...at least the TV viewers will have seen you win your title!

I dunno if there is a perfect time to have your back broken or not.. it just doesn't seem like something perfect. Hopefully its a lot better soon and your payment is in the mail.
lol

Hey Chris,
Good article. Respect of the business is key to anyone involved in this business. I've seen a lot of guys come into a locker room and basically just hang with their buddies and not go over to introduce themselves to some of the more established workers.
Guys like Hornet (I can't believe I'm putting him over either :-) are guys that I would have no problems working with. He has always been respectful when I've seen him and he listens and asks questions and cares about his work.
The lack of respect of the business and fellow workers is one of the reasons I've stayed away from the ring for a while.
Keep on shooting!

HAHAHAHAH
Robb that really means a lot to me that you'd pick me as your example.
I really do care about my work and I am really passionate about it. Thank you for noticing.
I was just raised properly, in wrestling I mean. How can someone broken in by Tid NOT have respect for the business? And there you go, I was *broken in*.
Anyway I get hot all the time when I see people disrespect the business. It is hard to watch people show no respect for something I wanted to do my entire life, tried so hard to become a part of, and has consumed my life. They are disrespecting my life.
I am legit getting hot right now thinking about some people so I better stop.
But I will never forget the people who helped me when I wanted to get into the business, including you Robb!

Thanks for the props guys.
When I first started out in the biz, I was a journalist covering the indy scene while I was training as a manager. For me, it was a little easier to meet people as I had been introduced before to them as a journalist. But being somewhat shy, it was still a fear I needed to get over. I was used to being in a radio studio where you didn't talk to people face to face. Or being on stage as a musician, where the crowd is somewhat distant.
But it isn't that hard to walk into a locker room, say "what's up guys" and shake a few hands. It's a small task that goes a long way. And you can meet some great people that way. That's how I met some of my closest friends in the biz.
