In addition to the 12 man Northumberland Royale tournament on April 16, we have three huge matches to announce. Buck Gunderson and Rob Rage will defend their Northumberland County Tag Team Wrestling Championship against the hybrid team of Tomer Shalom and Karou. Tomer has assured us that he and Karou will be ready to take the gold from the champions; can Buck and Rage hold onto their championship? Northumberland County Women's Wrestling Champion "Queen of Horror" Sabrina Kyle will have her hands full with one of the best competitors she has faced in her career as she defends against Beautiful Beaa. And in a special attraction exhibition match, Shane Sabre will be making his Cobourg debut, and he will be stepping into the squared circle with a wrestler who will be making his CANADIAN DEBUT, but who has been making a name for himself all throughout the United States and Mexico, Jack Cartwheel. Sabre has vowed that he will turn Cartwheel's Canadian debut into a nightmare he will want to forget. Here are the full results from the Northumberland Royale event last night. Before the show, it was announced that Tyler Tirva had tested positive for COVID and had withdrawn from the tournament, leaving only 11 wrestlers in the tournament.
In a pre-show match, "High Risk Hero" Rip Impact defeated Nathan Black by pinfall.
TOURNAMENT MATCH: "World's Greatest Pop Star" Jesse Bieber defeated "The Asian Nightmare" Kwan Chang by pinfall. (Chang eliminated)
TOURNAMENT MATCH: Tornado defeated "The Diamond Tiger" Kobe Durst by pinfall with his feet on the ropes. (Durst eliminated)
TOURNAMENT MATCH: "High Risk Hero" Rip Impact defeated "EZE" Eric Cairnie by pinfall. After the match, EZE attacked Rip and injured his knee. (Cairnie eliminated)
TOURNAMENT MATCH: "Roughhouse" Jeff Black defeated "World's Greatest Pop Star" Jesse Bieber by pinfall after interference by "Penthouse" Lenny Lilac. (Bieber eliminated)
TOURNAMENT MATCH: Daddy Davis defeated "Irish" Jake O'Reilly by pinfall after using an illegal object. (O'Reilly eliminated) Before he could reach the curtain to go to the back, the draw had already been made for the next match and it was announced that Davis had been drawn to wrestle again immediately in the next match, this time against "Relentless" John Atlas.
TOURNAMENT MATCH: "Relentless" John Atlas defeated Daddy Davis by pinfall. (Davis eliminated)
INTERMISSION Before his match with Jack Cartwheel, Shane Sabre announced that not only did he intend to ruin Cartwheel's Canadian debut, but also wants a match with Northumberland's own Vaughn Vertigo to end his undefeated record here in Cobourg. In a special attraction exhibition match, Jack Cartwheel defeated Shane Sabre by pinfall.
Northumberland County Tag Team Wrestling Champions Buck Gunderson and Rob Rage defeated Tomer Shalom and Karou when Rage pinned Karou.
TOURNAMENT MATCH: Tornado was awarded a win via forfeit when "High Risk Hero" Rip Impact could not compete due to his earlier injury. (Impact eliminated)
Jeff Black was then announced as a competitor in the next match, and after the referee barred Lenny Lilac from ringside, it was announced that Black's opponent would be Lilac, in an unfortunate luck of the draw for the Temple.
TOURNAMENT MATCH: "Roughhouse" Jeff Black and "Penthouse" Lenny Lilac resulted in a double count-out. (Black and Lilac eliminated)
Northumberland County Women's Wrestling Champion "The Blood Countess" Sabrina Kyle defeated Beautiful Beaa by pinfall.
TOURNAMENT MATCH: In the Northumberland Royale final, "Relentless" John Atlas defeated Tornado by pinfall. After Atlas was declared the winner, Tarik rushed to the ring to point out the clause in his contract that said he was to be entered into the Northumberland Royale. After review, his contract had specified that because he accepted a match with John Atlas back in November on short notice after Cody Deaner withdrew due to a family emergency, he was to be rewarded with an entry into the Northumberland Royale, a clause that the Board of Directors had overlooked. With no other choice and the contractual obligation compelling the Board of Directors, Tarik was entered into the Northumberland Royale, making Tarik vs John Atlas the "new" final. While the members of the Board who were present, along with the referee, were reviewing the contractual details, Tornado delivered a low blow to Atlas.
TOURNAMENT MATCH: Tarik defeated "Relentless" John Atlas by pinfall to win the Northumberland Royale and become the first Northumberland County Professional Wrestling Champion. After the match, Jake O'Reilly helped Atlas up, and Atlas challenged Tarik to a tag team match on the next Northumberland Pro Wrestling event, so next time Northumberland Pro hits the CCC, the main event will be "Relentless" John Atlas and "Irish" Jake O'Reilly vs Tarik and Tornado.
Keep up to date on when that next event will be by following our Facebook page.
