On December 27th, 2021, Pro Wrestling Eclipse hosted their second December show. In the beginning, they paid tribute to people who lost their lives to covid and also a PWE fan who passed away with a ten-bell salute.
Match 1: Singles Match ~Joey Valentine vs The Beholder (W/The Disciple)
Joey Valentine was no stranger to Oshawa as the last few times he competed in PWE, he was one half of the Hart Breakers tag team with Mike Hart. But that night, he was on his own as he faced the undefeated Beholder who came out with a big disciple. As The Beholder made his entrance, he looked around wondering where the ref was and made a gesture to Geoff to get a ref as he doesn’t speak. Geoff found a ref and threw him into the ring to start the match. The referee was Robert Gosling and he called for the bell as Joey got the crowd behind him and the two men square off.
The Beholder got the upperhand first with the Standing Wrist Lock, but Joey would turn it wound to apply one of his own. The Beholder reversed the pressure and delivered multiple headbutts to the left hand of Joey who turned it around and pulled down on The Beholder’s arm. Valentine brought him down and applied the Crossface trying to make The Beholder submit for his first loss, but he grabbed the bottom rope, breaking the hold and rolled out of the ring. Joey went out to get The Beholder, but the big disciple got in the way and Joey went to punch. The Beholder tried to stop him, but Joey punched both of them and The Beholder went back into the ring to knock Joey off the apron with a throat chop as Valentine tried to get back in, sending him back first onto the floor.
As Joey tried to get back up, The Beholder grabbed onto him with The Guillotine choke hold to wear him down and begin to stomp on him. As The Beholder posed, Joey fought back with right handed punches, but The Beholder continued the punishment by sending him to the middle rope and used the rope to choke him and then gave him a bake rake, followed by a headbutt to the face and to the back of the head. As The Beholder showed his work and posed, Joey took advantage and attempted a roll-up pin, but only got a two-count and The Beholder gave Joey an uppercut to the throat. He continued to punish Joey and send him over with a snapmare and a headbutt to the back of the shoulders. The Beholder removed his glove and looked to put him away, but Joey played possum and got him into a small-package pin attempt, but only got a two. Joey threw in some punches, but The Beholder was one step ahead, sending Joey face first into the turnbuckle.
In the corner, The Beholder choked Joey until Robert’s count of four and went for a running attack, but Joey side-stepped and The Beholder hit the turnbuckles. Joey, however, was too beaten up to capitalize and The Beholder gave him a double chop to the chest. He whipped Joey into the corner, but Joey used the ropes to leap over The Beholder and finally got the momentum he needed. Beholder sent him into the corner, only for Joey to connect with a boot to the face and went up to the second rope to nail him with a Double Ax Handle and went for the pin, but The Beholder kicked out. Joey went to the top rope and went for another ax handle, but The Beholder caught him in the jaw with the Tongan Death Grip, making him pass out. As Robert Gosling checked on Valentine, The Beholder demanded in motion that the bell be called, and Gosling did so. The Beholder was declared the winner as Joey was unable to continue.
Result: The Beholder (W/The Disciple) def. Joey Valentine via Referee Stoppage at 06:47
Match 2: Singles Match ~Pretty Ricky Willdy vs Dale Killburn
This marked Ricky’s third appearance in PWE and first since his loss to Robbie McCalister at Rocktoberfest. Dale Killburn was making his debut for Eclipse. Both men circled around trying to feel each other out, and tied up in the middle of the ring, wth Willdy going behind with a Waistlock and throwing him across the ring, thanking the fans who clapped in response. Dale gave Ricky a Side Headlock and followed with a Headlock Takedown, but Ricky got back at him with head scissors and thanked the fans again. Dale escaped and Ricky blew some kisses to him. Dale tried to get the fans behind him by yelling out his name and cheering for him, but got a negative response from the crowd who were more behind Ricky. This would lead to a personality change throughout the match. The two tied up again and Dale gave Ricky an armdrag, reminding the crowd what his name is with a fan responding, “We know your name, shut up.”
They tie up again and Dale delivers a hip toss showing off his strength advantage and then followed up with a Scoop Slam. But Ricky retaliated by giving Dale an Armdrag, a Hip Toss, and a Scoop Slam as well giving thanks to the crowd again. Ricky caught an attempted punch, locked up and gave Dale a chop, and ran up to the top rope for a Wrist Lock Armdrag from the top. Then, Ricky picked him up into a Fireman's Carry into an Airplane Spin, and dropped him with an Over The Shoulder Back-To-Belly Piledriver. He went for the cover but got a two-count. Ricky applied a Sleeper Hold and the crowd started singing Rock-A-Bye Baby, with Ricky rocking back and forth to the song. However, Dale got back up onto his feet and brought Ricky throat-first into the top rope, breaking the hold and then scooped him up to throw him over the top rope, landing face-first on the apron. Dale showed off and then went out to throw Ricky into the steel post, feeling proud of his work, but still got booed. He continued to punish Ricky with stomps and forearm shots to the back, and Ricky tried to recover as he got back into the ring.
Dale got back into the ring at the count of nine. He brought Ricky to the ropes and gave him some clubbing blows to the chest and whipped him across the ring to knock him with a Clothesline and then delivered some ground and pound punches. Dale then whipped Ricky into the corner. Ricky tried to reverse the Irish Whip, but was too winded to maintain control and Dale gave him a Corner clothesline and some kicks before rolling him over for the cover, but Ricky kicked out at two. Ricky tried to battle back, but Dale was one step ahead and hit the Suplex for the win, but Ricky once again kicked out. The Pretty one was brought into the corner again by Dale and got a double overhand chop to the chest and then tried to whip him to the opposite corner, but Ricky reversed and delivered a Running Hip Attack in the corner. He tried for a Bulldog, but Dale slipped out making Ricky fall onto his butt, and Dale went up to the second rope and hit a Double Ax Handle. He went for the pin, but Ricky once again kicked out, making Dale argue with Robert Gosling about the count. Killburn went up to the top rope to finish him off, but Ricky got back up and ran up to grab him and hit a Super Hip Toss. With both men down, Gosling started counting with the crowd trying to get Ricky Willdy back into this match. They traded shots to each other with one forearm knocking Dale silly, then Dale gave two forearms and Ricky delivered a chop and got the momentum by firing at Dale with open hand strikes to the chest and midsection. Ricky screamed out a warcry, but Dale gave him a thumb to the eye and picked him up onto his shoulder. Ricky escaped and delivered more open hand shots and some throat chops, followed by a headbutt to the chest and a DDT. He went for the cover, but Dale was still in it.
After giving more shots in the corner, Ricky nailed a Modified Stunner to get the win, but Dale kicked out. Ricky for the finishing blow, but Dale caught him with a massive Spinebuster. Dale went for the cover, but got a two count leaving Killburn in disbelief. The crowd once again gave Ricky support. Dale tried to finish him, but Ricky went behind, turned him around and gave him a kiss goodnight and an Enziguri to set up for the Shining Wizard to get the three-count and the victory. After the match, Ricky grabbed a mic and said that he arrived in Pro Wrestling to be great and demanded greatness. He wanted to face the big superstars of wrestling like John Greed, Tyler Tirva, Cody Deaner, among others. He stated that he is the greatest wrestler in Canada and the sexiest wrestler in the world today and told everyone to put that on his grave as there was no competitor alive that can share the annual magnetism of Ricky Wilddy.
Result: Ricky Willdy def. Dale Killburn via Pinfall at 10:46
Match 3: Singles Match for the PWE Consolidated Championship with Buck Gunderson as the special guest referee. ~”The Unidentified Fighting Object” Adrian Astar vs “Mr. Punch, Kick, Chop” Tarik(c) (W/John Greed)
Tarik who has had a habit of making history, being PWE’s 1st Triple Crown Winner as well as the first PWE Consolidated Champion was upset by the fact that Adrian Astar got a second chance to challenge him for the title. The last time, Adrian Astar lost to Tarik, but also suffered a sprained ankle. Buck Gunderson appeared as the special guest referee. He called for the bell, and the two tied up with Tarik bringing him into the corner and they broke up at the count of four. Tarik applied a Side Headlock on Adrian and the Unidentified Fighting Object brought him to the ropes and pushed him off, only to get a shoulder tackle from Tarik. Tarik took time to talk trash to the fans and Adrian, reminding them that he already beat him. Tarik once again had a headlock with Adrian again pushing him off to get another shoulder tackle. Tarik then ran off the ropes and Adrian went down for Tarik to hop over and then did a leap frog and went for a back elbow, but Tarik grabbed his arm and whipped him to the ropes. Adrian ducked a clothesline to hit a Sprinngboard Moonsault, forcing Tarik to roll out of the ring, but Adrian did not stop there as he hit Tarik on the floor with a Tope Con Hilo and got the crowd behind him as he sent Tarik back into the ring.
Adrian prepared for another springboard move from the apron. Tarik tried to stop him twice, but got met with forearms from Astar. However, as Adrian tried to jump to the top rope, Tarik caught him with an Enziguri, leaving Adrian laying on the rope to allow Tarik to go to the top and hit an elbow, making Adrian rebound off the top to the canvas. He pulled him to the middle and went for the cover, but only got a two-count and the crowd tried to get their hometown hero back into the match. Tarik began stomping away and brought him to a corner to give him a punch and then a kick and a chop. Adrian tried to fight back, but Tarik pulled his hair and brought him down and stomped on him before bringing him up and down for a Suplex. After a chop, Adrian went out of the ring by Tarik through the ropes and as Buck was counting, John Greed approached Astar on the outside and Adrian went back into the ring upon seeing him coming towards him.
Tarik hit him with another Suplex and worked on Adrian in the corner with a chop and used the middle rope to choke him, but as Tarik drew Buck away, John Greed took advantage to choke Adrian out. Tarik went for the pin, but Adrian kicked. Tarik went for a backpack stunner, but Adrian reversed and sent Tarik into the corner. Tarik dodged Adrian’s attack in the corner and charged at him, but Adrian went through the ropes, making Tarik hit the turnbuckle and hit an Ezniguri. Adrian went for a springboard, but his right foot slipped, causing him to fall onto the canvas and Tarik took advantage by stomping on him and hit the Backpack Stunner for the win, but Adrian just barely kicked out as Buck shouted three and Buck went to check on Adrian. Tarik would continue to punish his challenger and deliver a Snapmare and a kick to the head, walking around feeling confident to go to the middle rope and go for the Diving Knee Drop, but Adrian saw it coming and dodged it and hit Tarik with a back elbow. Coming off the ropes, Tarik caught him into a Fireman’s Carry and attempted the Jumping Side Kick, but Adrian caught the leg, rolled him back and hit him with the Jumping Knee Strike. At this point, Tarik caught Adrian running towards him with a Pop-up Kick and went off the ropes to strike again, but Adrian caught him with The Standing Moonsault Side Slam.
Both men were down and Buck began his count with both getting back up at eight and after trading blows, Adrian got the upper hand with two Clotheslines, and a Slingshot Elbow off the rope. He then grabbed Tarik by the head and hit a Standing Shiranui and went for the pin, but only got a two-count. Adrian went to the top rope, but Tarik punched the side of Adrian’s head and put him into the Fireman’s Carry again, but Adrian flipped over and kicked him in the head and went for a running move, but Tarik ran by and connected with a Springboard Enziguri, turning Adrian inside out and went for the pin, but again, Adrian kicked out. The crowd once again were behind Adrian as Tarik brought him to the top rope and went for a Middle Rope Backpack Stunner, but Adrian fought him off and gave him some kicks before hitting the Forward Somersault Cutter and went for the win, only to get a two-count. The two men traded blows once again. Adrian hit two running Enziguri in the corner and ran to the other corner to get ready for another, but Tarik came running and delivered a chop.
He went for the Pop-Up Kick, but Adrian caught the leg and rolled him over. Tarik caught him by surprise and rolled forward for an Enziguri and nailed The Jumping Side Kick to finally get the win.
Result: Tarik(c) (W/John Greed) def. Adrian Astar via Pinfall at 13:02
Despite the win, Tarik and John Greed attacked Adrian Astar after the match. Buck tried to stop it, but could not regain control and even tried to get a second ref. After many moves to Adrian, John Greed nailed Adrian with the Package Piledriver. Tarik grabbed the mic and said this.
“Look at that, man, Adrian Astar, you tried and you got beat. You guys think this is uncomfortable… Greed, do it again! You ain’t got nobody to save you now, man.”
However, a familiar tune hit and out came Cody Deaner, the man who John Greed ran over on the highway back at November Bash. Deaner was out for revenge as he tried to get in, but Tarik and Greed held their ground until Deaner grabbed a cane and charged for the ring, forcing Tarik and Greed to retreat. Deaner wanted Tarik to get into the ring and Tarik said drop the cane, which Cody did so and Tarik got up onto the apron saying I beat you before, I’ll beat you again, but went down and John Greed went up instead. Tarik told Deaner, if you want me, you’ll have to go through the big man first. Deaner told Tarik he’s not gonna man up and get in the ring. He vowed to end the crazy year with a bang and challenged John Greed to a Main Event match which was made official and Deaner vowed also to slam John Greed and hit him with the DDT.
Match 4: Falls Count Anywhere Match ~Rob Rage (W/Adam Haze) vs Ad Hutchinson
This match had special stipulations. No count-outs, and no disqualifications. The only way to win is by Pinfall or Submission and those could take place anywhere in or out of the Legion. Rage came out first and said that Santa punished him with not only a lump of coal, but also to have to come to Oshawa. Adam Haze also said he was disappointed in his hometown saying that they don’t cheer Rage, with Rage saying they’re too stupid to cheer for him. Adam was more disappointed that they don’t acknowledge him as the rightful King Of The Shwa, and they chant Burger King to him, he said he didn’t get any Christmas gifts from you, and they should be celebrating Ragemas. They then mock Ad Hutchinson calling him Ad the British Lad. Ad Hutchinson came out next and was all business as Rage went out of the ring to talk strategy with Adam Haze.
Before the match started, fans called Rage a turkey with Rage responding I had Turkey, you guys had a plate full of crap. Ad came back calling Rage the Turkey, and Adam Haze the Stuffing. The match begins and the two men tie up in the Collar and Elbow and they try to outdo each other with leg strength. Rage pushed Ad into a corner, let go and gave Ad three chest taps calling himself the man to the fans and told Ad he’s from England who misses a bunch of Penalty Kicks like the soccer team. As Rage continued to talk trash, Ad tried to fight through Robert Gosling and told him, we came here to fight, not talk. They tie up again and this time, Ad brought Rage into a corner and gave him a noogie leading a “Where’s your hair at?” chant and Baldy to Rage. Rage said bald is beautiful, and Ad said for a little baby, not for grown men wearing spandex.
Rage went for a third tie-up, and Ad went behind him for a Waistlock, but Rage escaped by applying the Wristlock, prompting Ad to roll over and give Rage one of his own. Rage reversed the pressure again, but Ad quickly got out and went for a Full Nelson, a move that Rage had mastered which he called the Ragemission and Rage escaped with the Hammerlock and into a Side Headlock. Rage applied pressure to the head of Hutchinson, but Ad showed his strength and technique to escape and give Rage a Headlock and another Noogie. Rage shoved him to the ropes and they both collided with a Shoulder Tackle, with both men remaining on their feet. Rage went for one to knock Hutchinson down but to no avail. Rage then challenged Ad for a Test of Strength but as Ad locked up with Rage, he gave Ad a knee to the midsection, baiting him into his trap and began to pound him with forearms and elbows. Rage tried for a Turnbuckle Smash, only for Ad to block the attempt by putting his foot on the middle turnbuckle and sending Rage into the top turnbuckle and smashing his face into another and went up to give him a third noogie.
He brought Rage into a third corner and threw some punches to the midsection and gave him three Running Forearm Smashes followed by a Snapmare and a Seated Clothesline, forcing Rage to roll out of the ring to retreat to the fan entrance way. Ad Hutchinson and Gosling followed Rage and Haze to the entrance of The Legion and would fight in the Men’s Bathroom and came out a couple of minutes later, Rage with a mouth full of toilet paper. But Rage retaliated by giving him a mouth full and sent him to the door. Rage sent Hutchinson face-first into three different tables with Ad returning the favor by sending Rage into the wall. Ad gave Rage a Christmas Wreath and shouted Merry Christmas before sending him into a wall post. Ad sent Rage back into the ring and saw him on his hands and knees and decided to embarrass him by spanking Rage’s butt twice. He connected with a Clothesline and went for the cover, but Rage kicked out and rolled out of the ring again.
Ad leaped over the top rope, landed on the apron, and jumped onto Rage, but Rage caught him and made Ad go spine first into the steel post and sent him into the wall as well. Rage humiliated Ad even further by getting a Mistletoe and forcing The British Brawler to kiss his feet. After putting Hutchinson in a chair, Rage hit him with a Clothesline, forcing him and the chair to fall back and went for the cover, but Hutchinson kicked out on the floor, making Rage in anger pull him by the ears and threw him back into the ring and demanded Haze to give him his tie to tie him up. Haze entered the ring and began choking Ad with his tie, holding for Rage, but Ad moved out of the way and Rage punched Adam Haze inadvertently, allowing Hutchinson to strike with a punch and two clotheslines. Rage battled back and sent Ad into the corner and began stomping on him and choking him. He then makes him bounce off the turnbuckles and delivers a World’s Strongest Slam and goes for the cover, but Ad kicked out and the fans pulled for Ad to get back into the match while Rage argued with Gosling about the count.
Ad gave Rage a jawbreaker and the two exchanged heated words, punches, and forearms with Hutchinson getting the upper hand and delivering the German Suplex to Rage. Now on the outside, Ad sent Rage into the post with his spine and brought him to the floor and applied a Chinlock. Adam Haze grabbed the referee and pulled him aside while Rage was tapping out. Ad tries to get Gosling’s attention as he let’s go of Rage, only to get a low blow from Rage who then rolls him up for the count of three. Controversy occurred at the end, but Rage was declared the winner. Hopefully, there will be a rematch in the future to settle this once and for all.
Result: Rob Rage (W/Adam Haze) def. Ad Hutchinson in a Falls Count Anywhere Match at 16:09
Match 5: Special Referee Match for the PWE Flame CHampionship ~Cici Galavis vs Jewells Malone(c) with Divya Fiji serving as the Guest Referee
December 27th marked day number 967 for Jewells Malone as the PWE Flame Champion. As it was announced that Cici Galavis would challenge Jewells Malone for the PWE Flame Championship, the former #1 Contender Divya Fiji stated that she wanted another shot and wanted to be involved in any way, so management made the announcement that Divya would be the special guest referee. As for the preparation, the tension between Divya and Jewells grew as Divya took her barbed-wire bat away.
The match began and the two tied up with Jewells bringing Cici down showing her strength with the Leg Sweep Takedown. Cici applied the headlock that looked like a choke, but Jewells escaped and gave Cici a headlock and brought her down with a Headlock Takedown, and as Cici applied the Head Scissors, Jewells moved to the center and rolled over to apply a headlock on the mat. Divya checked for the shoulders but Cici escaped with a Front Facelock and Jewells swept the leg and drove the elbow into the left knee of Cici, applying a kneebar. They separate and Jewells brought her down with a Clothesline and then struck with a forearm and a kick to the chest. In the corner, Jewells hit Galavis with a running Avalanche and threw her across the ring with a Double-Arm Suplex and went for the pin, but only got a one-count. Cici retaliated with forearms and then pulled her hair to bring the champion to the mat and Divya made no call about the hair pulling.
The challenger began using the ropes on Jewells’s arms but Divya once again did not make a count, showing that she was a biased referee. Then, Galavis performed a Spinning Heel Kick in the corner bringing Jewells down and then smashed her face into the turnbuckles three times. Cici once again used the rope to damage the arm and Divya made a slow count. This would continue on as Cici put a boot to Jewells’s neck multiple times with Divya making another slow count. But Jewells gave Cici a boot and then applied the Top Rope Headscissors. Divya this time counted normally and then pushed Jewells off of Cici, causing the champion to fall to the floor. Cic went to the outside and the two women battled it out while Divya continued to count slowly and restart the count. Jewells sent Cici face first into the apron, but then Cici sent Jewells into the steel post.
Galavis threw Jewells back into the ring and stomped and pounded on Malone and then delivered a Suplex. She went for the cover, but Jewells kicked out. Cici went for a running elbow drop, but Jewells moved out of the way and hit Cici with a Clothesline, a Back Elbow, and some kicks to the midsection, followed by a Roundhouse Kick to the face and went for the cover, but Divya would make a very slow count, allowing Cic to kick out from a three second delay after two. Jewells whipped her into the ropes, but got a kick from Cici and after countering a Dragon Sleeper, both women hit each other with a Crossbody and Divya made a count. The fans got behind Jewells as they both were knees at eight and began trading forearms. Malone nailed Galavis with The Crown Jewells and went for the cover, but Divya stopped counting at two. Jewells began going after her archrival before getting rolled up by Cici but got the shoulder up at two. Malone gave Cici a Drop Toe Hold and applied a Crossface and Cici tapped out. Despite Divya’s actions, she had no choice but to call for the bell.
Result: Jewells Malone(c) def. Cici Galavis via Submission at 09:50 with Divya Fiji serving as the guest referee.
Divya was looking down at the championship Jewells demanded that she gave it to her. As Divya raised her hand, she gave Jewells a Short-Arm Clothesline. She then grabbed the title and raised it above, showing that she wants to be the next champion before hitting Jewells in the face with the title.
Main Event: Singles Match ~John Greed (W/Tarik) vs Cody Deaner
Buck Gunderson once again was the referee for this match. He called for the bell and the long-time rivals squared off, with the crowd fully behind Deaner. The two tie up and they show their strength as they remain in the middle of the ring and break after nine seconds. They tied up again and this time, they spun around on the ropes. Greed shoves Deaner into the corner as he was the bigger man in the match and Tarik began to mock the former Heavyweight Champion, forcing Buck to restrain Deaner from going after the Consolidated Champion. Cody went outside to attend a young fan and asked if he along with the crowd could take on Greed. Back in the Deaner, applied a Headlock on Greed but is pushed off into the ropes and gets Shoulder Tackled down to the canvas.
Deaner took a moment to think of a new strategy and heard the crowd cheer for him as they locked up their hands. Deaner was quick and applied the Standing Wrist Lock on John Greed and pulled up and down on the arm, but John raked the eyes of Deaner to escape. Giving Deaner a punch and an uppercut, Greed had the situation well in hand by tossing him into the corner and went for a Running Avalanche, but Deaner moved and John hit the turnbuckles, allowing the King Of The Shwa to catch a breather and get some right hands in. He gets up onto the second rope and Deaner tells the fans to count the punches. He gets down at nine and gives Greed a big right handed punch knocking John Greed out of the ring. Cody goes out to get John Greed and smashes his face onto the apron and the two go out into the crowd and smash his face off a table. As Buck brought John Greed back to the ring, Deaner grabbed a trash bin and went to hit Greed with it, but Greed caught him, forcing Deaner to drop it. Deaner, however, grabbed the fan’s cane that he brought earlier and threatened to hit Greed with it, but as he swung back, Tarik grabbed it out of his hands and got knocked out by Greed with a punch before sending him back into the ring.
The King Of The Road began to punish Deaner with massive punches and uppercuts, even using the second rope for leverage and to choke Deaner, and the Greed pulled Buck away to allow Tarik to choke Cody with the cane and then Greed began to choke Cody with a boot in the corner. As Cody got up to his knees, John Greed applied a Trapezius Claw and put a lot of pressure to the nerve. As Tarik told Greed to keep applying the hold, the crowd chanted for Deaner to get back up and he was able to give Greed a couple of elbows to the midsection. But when he went for a Body Slam, it was too much and John gave clubbing blows and a forearm, sending Cody into the ropes and Greed lifted him up for a Sidewalk Slam. He went for the cover, but Deaner kicked out and Greed gave Cody a Body Slam to mock Deaner for trying to slam him and then gave him a Running Elbow Drop and went for the pin, but Deaner kicked out again. As John punched Deaner, he heard the crowd chant Cody, and Mr. DDT was feeding off of their energy, seemingly impervious to pain and gave Greed punches and went for the slam, but as he lifted up Greed, the momentum switched and Greed crushed Cody and went for the pin, but Cody kicked out once again.
Greed gave Cody some forearms and then put all of his weight down onto Deaner’s back with impact. Then, Greed applied the Guillotine Choke to make Deaner submit. The crowd support once again gave Cody the chance to escape, but Greed gave him a knee and clubbing blows and applied the choke once again. Cody showed no signs of life and Buck goes to do the arm count where if Cody’s arm drops three times, it’s over. His arm dropped twice, but the third time, he began to shake and finally fought back. With two clotheslines, Greed was still on feet and Deaner went up to the second rope and hit a Double Ax Handle. Greed was still on his feet and Cody went up to the top turnbuckle to hit another Ax Handle, bringing Greed down to one knee. Cody began winding up and ran off the ropes, ducking a Clothesline from John and finally brought the big man down with a Running Clothesline and finally was able to Body Slam Greed and went for the cover, but Greed kicked out. Deaner heard the crowd chant DDT and went to finish him, but Greed shoved him into the corner and went for the Package Piledriver. Deaner countered and went for the DDT again, only for Greed to shove him again and nailed a Running Bell Clap Avalanche and attempted a Knockout Punch. Deaner ducked and hit him with an uppercut and Greed hit Cody with a big boot and went up to the top and waited for Cody to get back on his feet.
Deaner saw him and caught him with a punch and went up for an attempted DDT from the top, but Greed dropped him down and leaped for a Flying Spinning Heel Kick, barely catching Deaner with his right foot and Greed believed that it was over, but Deaner kicked out again at two. Greed brought him up into a Fireman’s Carry, but Cody caught him with elbows and almost sent him into Buck Gunderson. Greed moved away and Cody accidentally hit Buck and the same thing happened when Greed hit Buck with the Bell Clap Avalanche. Cody went for a roll up, but Buck was down and Cody tried to revive him, and Greed hit Deaner with The TKO and went for the pin, but Buck was still down and out. Tarik came in, they double teamed him and Tarik hit Deaner with the Title belt, much like he did to him at November Bash 2019. Greed went for the cover and Tarik revived Buck to make the count which was slow and Deaner kicked out at two.
Out of frustration, Greed and Tarik assault Buck Gunderson, forcing him to roll out of the ring and Greed held Cody for Tarik to hit him with the Diving Knee Drop, but Cody pulled John Greed in the way and Tarik hit his partner. In the process, the bell was rung prematurely as the bell-person thought Buck had called for the bell, but Cody waved it off and asked the young fan for the cane and Cody gave a Cane-shot to Tarik, sending him over the top to the outside and hit Greed with the cane and nailed a DDT. Robert Gosling came out to make the count and the match was over. Cody Deaner grabbed a mic and vowed that he would challenge Tarik and reclaim his title once and for all.
Result: Cody Deaner def. John Greed (W/Tarik) via Pinfall at 21:24
