BATTLEWAR 36 was an exciting evening that saw a plethora of emotional highs and lows! We would like to extend our appreciation to every ticket holder for their help in making BATTLEWAR 36 a memorable night! We will return to Les Foufounes Électriques on Sunday, August 28 for BATTLEWAR 37, where Le Tabarnak de Team will defend their BATTLEWAR Tag Team Championship against The Sight in a Street Fight!
Here are the results from BATTLEWAR 36:
1. "Outlaw" Marc Mercer defeated Oliver Strange in the bonus match of the night.
2. BATTLEWAR 36 officially kicked off with Stu Grayson, of The SSB defeating Kevin Dunn in an absolutely incredible contest.
3. Giant Tiger was victorious over Urban Miles in singles action. Prior to the match, Giant Tiger informed Urban Miles that the match was officially the first ever "Cut The Cheese Challenge", in which the winner would pass gas in front of the losing competitor's face.
4. Mike Gibson's undefeated streak stayed in tact as he was victorious over The SSB's Evil Uno in a hard hitting match.
5. The Sight were able to claim another victory over BATTLEWAR Tag Team Champions, Le Tabarnak de Team, albeit, being by way of disqualification. The end of the match saw Shayne Hawke toss one of the Tag Team Championships into the hands of Mathieu St-Jacques. Hawke would feign injury, which prompted the official to disqualify the tag team champions. In consecutive months, The Sight have defeated Le Tabarnak de Team by count out and disqualification.
6. Surfer Mitch Thompson was able to catch Travis Toxic off guard with a flash pin to walk away from BATTLEWAR 36 with the win. Following the match, both men would shake hands as a sign of mutual respect.
7. In the Career versus Championship Match, the BATTLEWAR Champion, Big Magic retained his title with a shocking victory over Twiggy. Big Magic was able to apply his trademark, Boston Crab five times throughout the match. The fifth time would prove to be the key to victory as Twiggy would go on to pass out while held in the maneuver. Due to pre-match stipulations, with this loss, Twiggy's BATTLEWAR career has come to an end.
