I thought I'd post this since STRANGLEHOLD has run at the Tranzac club before: Hello all Rock Plaza Central supporters. Sorry for the mass email when it's not about a show, but I wanted to let you know about the dire situation of an important venue and community centre in our city of Toronto. The Tranzac, the club where we did most of our shows, workshopping much of the material for Are We Not Horses and even where the first robot horse story was ever told, is in bad beans and needs our help. A combination of increased property taxes, decreased bar revenues from cutting back hours and various other things have left the organization almost $50,000 in debt, and if they don't get that by the end of the year, they may have to close shop and sell the building. If you've ever been to the Tranzac for a free show (many of them are), consider this some kind of post-cover. You can get the full story from them and donate at this site: pledgie.com/campaigns/13572 They are also having a meeting in early October if you would like to volunteer in some way. Thanks for your time.
