The fight was crap, but there was a reason.
Nelson can fight and do a lot of good things, so he didn't need to try as hard as he can to beat Kimbo.
That aside, the day Nelson loses twenty pounds of fat, will be the day he actually gets a contract with UFC.

Dana White is no dummy, he will do what is good for business. And simply put KIMBO is good for business! Be it ratings or buy rates for right now he is working for them. If he gets squashed two, three times it would be a different story. But for now his loss was not convincing so I see plenty of star power in him. Just like Jimmi and Donnie said they are beginning to like Kimbo. I think the show has done an amazing job showing Kimbo as a humble family man who simply likes fighting. He isn't a punk or a bully, he is a great student with great potential. No doubt they are using the show to make him into a star. I think if his fighting improves on the show it really will be the ultimate platform for Kimbo.

The Poll results pretty much sums up this boards MMA knowledge. Nobody claims to be an expert. The fight could have went two ways, the way it did or the other way which it almost did with Kimbo knocking out Roy. this fight wasn't clear cut eather way but i would have said Roy would have had the advantage. Kimbo did make a decent showing. Kimbo is training with American Top Team for a fight at the Ultimate Fighter Final on Spike according to The Fight Network. I think this will help him improve alot over the next little while.

I actually kinda like Kimbo anLeitesd think Big Country is a bit of a clown. The goal of MMA is to win and Country had a game plan to do that. Kinda like when Anderson Silva beat Leites. It was a boring fight but he did what he had to do to win. In this case, Country even gets an extra $5Gs for the stoppage win.
Rampage knew that Kimbo couldn't get up from under a fat guy but the coaching couldn't create a game plan to get him the win. And in the end, the victory is all that matters, not pride, not doing your best. The goal is to put together some wins and earn the UFC contract and hopefully pick up some $$ along the way.
I don't like him, but Country did just that.
