Just thought I would post on this site to see if anyone had an interest in old school arcade games ? You know, the six feet tall, 300lb beasts some of us used to play as kids ! I got into the hobby about two-two and half years ago. I've got a few in my collection as of right now, all be it I think I shoul stop collection.
I've started a MAME cabinet and a touch screen juke box. In the next few months I might have some bartop machines for sale. They will have PAC MAN, DONKEY KONG, FROGGER, ARKANOID, etc if anyone is interested PM me.

I'd love to get a Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Street Fighter 2 or Wrestlemania

I had Wrestlemania but it was in a HULKING Killer Instinct cabinet. That thing from back to front was 4 feet deep! I couldn't get it in the house. I put it up for sale on Kijiji and my mechanic ended up responding to the add. I wanted to sell him just the cabinet, but I later tossed in the board (the game). I didn't need an upset mechanic. I have these three units in the picture, I'm converting them to 48-in-1's. Donnie you'd love it, all the classics in one nice small machine. www.excellentcom.net/detail.asp?catid=47159&subcatid=0&pdtid=307137

I have a EXCITING HOUR game. This was the first wrestling game I ever played in the arcades (it and Wrestlefest are still my favourite). Insane Worrier (before they fixed the spelling), CoCo Savage, Blues Bloody (the Brody looking guy before they changed him to Golden Hulk), Karate Fighter, The Piranhia... man.. good game. Still has fun factor! Technically it is the same game as MAT MANIA. All they did was change the name, fixed spelling errors and changed the Brody looking guy to a Hogan looking guy to capatilize on his recent popularity.
Since I moved it is sitting in my garage so I have to play it in there. My basement isn't finished so I didn't bring it downstairs. Let me know if anyone wants it for their collection! ;D

It's a fun hobby, but it does take up HUGE amounts of space. That's the reason I built (or STARTED building) the MAME cabinet. I hit a little bit of a wall, but just today came across a collectors site and got an idea as to how to install my monitor. I should be able to bang that out and complete the project in a week or two. I promised myself I wouldn't begin the others projects until that time. All be it I think with the colder weather, more time home, my interest growing I should be able to complete these other projects quicker.
I know feeling Geoff about not having a finished basement, that's the one thing I want really badly in this house. Just a place to hang out with the guys, have a few Coronas, watch a PPV, play some games, whatever.

If anyone is interested one of my boys sells pinball machines (mainly) but does have video games come through from time to time and has some connections. I can get his info to you.

Sat in Scarborough I'm going to an arcade auction. I don't have all the details, but I can post them when I get them. I do know$100 cash deposit is required to bid. You get that back if you don't win.

I just finished my MAME project, about 6000-7000 games on this PC. All playable on your run of the mill fighter style arcade cabinet. Now if I want I can go and add all the ROM sets (game sets) for NES,SNES,N64,TURBO GRFX, and all the SEGA STUFF.....I think even PS1. I dont know that i'll do that, I'm just happy to be able to play Bad Dudes and Street Fighter II : Rainbow........f*cking RYU and his fast ass fireballs, that MO-FO is hard to beat ! www.mymissiontomame.blogspot.comNow I can move onto my old school bartop machines. I think these could look really cool. www.mymissiontomame.blogspot.com
