so overall i think Brock has been good for the UFC and MMA. his buyrates are stellar and i read/hear dana is really high on brock.
i think his 1st fight against Mir you could tell he was nervous. when he went to the mat you could see he was just waiting til he could feel the pain.
i think his next fight against crazyhorse was a good showing, but all in all not that soilid. i think it really all comes down to experience.
when he faught Randy I thought it was a good fight, but again not the best fight i had seen. but none the less Brock has made a name for himself.
when Mir won his last fight he said he couldnt wait to face Brock again, and "The break I put on him will make him famous!" OUCH............. im looking forward to this
anyones thoughts on the re-match ? what do you think about Brock now training with Extereme Coture ?

what do you think about Brock now training with Extereme Coture ? Brocks size and strength mixed with Coutures knowledge is a scary fuckin combo. I think Mir is toast.

Guys like Lesnar are exceptions to the rule and quite frankly he the one reason that the UFC should rethink it's weight classes. When a guy like Lesnar walks around at 285 +, how can a guy who weighs in at 206 ever be able to compete giving up that much weight difference? In my opinion the UFC should think about a super heavyweight division for guys who weigh in ABOVE 240 lbs. That way the hevyweight division could still be 206 - 240 and then the super heavyweight division could be 241 - 265.

i agree about the difference is size, ive said off all brocks fights "how the f**k you going to move some 300lb guy from off of you?" you will be gassed trying to do so. i would like to see brock win when he fights mir, and i think him training with randy is primo! but i think mir put on a clinic in his last fight, i thought he looked fantastic. you take that, plus the prior win (ie confidence) and i think you have one hell of a fight. im not taking away from brocks win over randy, cause that itself is HUGE..........its just that mir beat him once. no doubt he will be smarter, and no doubt he has more experience now,but i just dont know. needless to say im looking forward to hitting the bar for that fight.

I think that's a good idea but I'm wondering, cause I don't have a handle on the MMA scene beyond the "big fights"... does UFC have enough guys above 241 to make a super heavyweight division doable? Or would there just be a handful of guys?

Hell if that would happen it would give them an excuse to bring in Bob Sapp. He may only last one round but the man knows how to cut a promo. There's for sure a talent pool but I don't know if it's all "TV friendly".

Tid is right - a superheavy division IS viable ...
That being said ... I don't GET bossco's analysis of Lesnar...
His first fight, he made a rookie mistake and got caught after dominating Mir.
Second fight he DOMINATED control and DOMINATED Herring. He was struggling for a means to finish, but he controlled the much more experienced fighter for 3 rounds...
Against Couture ... one of the top mma fighters of all time couldn't do a DAMN thing against Lesnar. Lesnar again was dominant... how can you question that?
