I think SLAM!Wrestling prefers just a link to whatever article... maybe using the first one or two paragraphs as an intro/hook... rather than a 'credit' & a reprint. No reason for anyone to go to the SLAM! site now, which I think is the opposite of what they want because of page-hits-ad-revenue something or other which they count on to pay for the site... I think. (It's guesswork & heresay on my part because Greg Oliver doesn't really say much to me.) In any case I know I'd rather have people link to owie.ca content than reprint something in full... (and I don't make a dime off my site no matter how many times it's visited) so I'm guessing other site guys probably feel the same way. But hey, you're a Badass Do what ya want. lol Sounds like a good show... 4300 sold? Wow.

it would fantastic if someone could bring in a crowd like this
from my own stand point selling merch
I average about $2 in merch sales for every paid ticket
so 3200 fans would an incredible pay day
good work Rougeaus !!
contact info anyone?lol

Thanks for the link rather than posting the whole story. Our revenue model is based on page views and people seeing the ads. It means that I can say that I can pay all my writers; I don't think there are many wrestling web sites like that.
Jacques Rougeau Jr. succeeds with these shows by hustling sponsors. I bet of the 4000 or so sold, only a few hundred are "walk-ups" or people not connected with the sponsor or Rougeau someway. He spends months building this, has a press conference, and hits the media -- which is very receptive to him (and I would guess that a number of tickets are set aside for media connections as well).
I've enjoyed his big galas every time I've gone, even if it is mostly his students now.
Greg p.s. to Mr. Napkins -- just say hi when I'm out at an event (all too rare an occasion); I'm sorry if we haven't properly met and conversed. Please don't feel shunned. Having Bret hate me is enough.
