Straight out of Dana White's mouth he said if GSP beats BJ he will get a shot at The Spider. God would that ever be a sick fight to watch. Even better than Penn Vs GSP. I pick GSP against Penn. I have this funny feeling that GSP is gonna make Penn Tap out. People forget about GSP's submission game. Against Silva I'm a bias mother fucker and I pick GSP. Atleast I'm honest.

GSP can beat Penn...
Against Silva --- he'd have to go up a weight class, and I think would lose some of his mobility that makes him so vicious.
Regardless I don't think this is a good idea for UFC. It's a fan's DREAM MATCH - but shit like that should be left to video games. There's a reason we never got Sugar Ray Leonard VS Mike Tyson -- and that's ok.

Chuck Liddel Vs Anderson Silva that's a BAD BAD BAD idea. I think it would melt the Iceman's legend it wouldn't even pass the first round. Anderson Silva vs GSP is a great idea. You've never seen in boxing or any other sport 2 legends in the making fighting for the pound for pound championship of the world. Couture vs Fedor took to long to happen. Ken Shamrock was a shell of his former self when he went against Tito. The list goes on. It would be an amazing dream to watch on TV. Be like Jet Li vs Bruce Lee, Tyson in his prime vs ALI it would be something special to watch. Maybe I'm a lil bias for GSP because I wanna see him get that Legend status and beating The Spider will have it carved in stone.

I saw its a bad idea because sometimes being able to have "debate" and "talking points" around a sport is better than finding out.
Who's the best in the world today? Ask someone in the U.S. they'll say Anderson... or Fedor. Ask a Canadian, they'll say GSP.
Putting Anderson VS GSP will in my opinion result in a GSP lose - worse than the one he suffered at the hands of Serra. Another big loss like that combined with several matches in a row where he didnt DOMINATE but was imposing, some lustre will start to peel off his star.
I'd only go to that fight if there wasn't ANYTHING ELSE LEFT for each... and right now - there is.
Tons of middles and welters out there...

I'm even more biased.... and my urge to see Liddell KILLED by Silva outweighs seeing Silva vs GSP (where I think Silva would probably win) in the near future. I've never liked Liddell, so I take pleasure in his continued burial (White smiled at that idea today on The Score, although in the past it seemed like he was avoiding thinking about that matchup).
If anything I was hoping they would've booked Silva vs Liddell for the weekend they picked out for GSP/Penn; the winner getting in a #1 contender's match facing the winner of Rampage/Wanderlei. Where the winner of that match would get a title shot. Sure the winner of Evans/Griffin would sit for a while, but they could always throw a deserving Machida, Franklin or Thiago Silva at the Champ, in what would also make for a good fight.

I see your point I thought you were meaning something else like for both fighters or something. I don't know. I think it's more like U.S. Anderson Silva. Canada GSP. Other side of the world Fedor. Fedor's not that fimiliar yet in the US. I think a lot of people say Fedor's the best because what they've seen on youtube and what other people say on MMA sites and what not. Kinda like a word of mouth type thing. That's just my opinion. I don't think too many people are educated on Fedor.

GSP-Silva is a bad idea. Someone would have to move weight classes, and GSP would be at a serious disadvantage either way (weigh? HAHA)
I agree with Donnie. It would be a fan's dream, but be careful what you wish for. You just may get it!
I love the Iceman, but I think he's done. Let's just be content with the warm memories of him whipping Tito!
