The legendary Kensuke Sasaki and one of Japan's most exciting competitors Katsuhiko Nakajima have been signed to compete on Ring Of Honor's "Glory By Honor VII" on September 20th in Philadelphia, PA (ROHwrestling.com for more info and tickets).
ROH reached the deal with Kensuke Office for this very special appearance. Sasaki brings hall of fame credentials. He has held the IWGP Heavyweight Title in New Japan five times, the Triple Crown in All Japan and he was US Champion in WCW. Sasaki brings considerable size and power to ROH. Nakajima has quickly become one of the favorites for hardcore and casual fans in Japan. He is known for his kicking skills. He is a quickly rising star under the tutelage of Sasaki.
ROH officials are discussing plans possible matches for Sasaki and Nakajima. Originally, they were going to team to take on Jay & Mark Briscoe. However, The Briscoes have been added to Steel Cage Warfare at "Glory By Honor VII" removing them as possible opponents.
Some possible bouts in discussion include Sasaki & Nakajima vs. Nigel McGuinness & Claudio Castagnoli or Kevin Steen & El Generico. There is a strong possibility that they will be in singles competition. Opponents under consideration for Sasaki include NWA World Heavyweight Champion Brent Albright, Chris Hero, Bryan Danielson, Kevin Steen, Claudio Castagnoli.
