So the guy decides to shit & run? I mean if you're going to make a post then at least have the decency to stick around and read the replies and don't just sit there and insuate that the response is immediately going to bash you. You're digging you're own grave pal.
"20 to 30 people either way will not make or break my company not know, not 2 years ago, and not 5 years ago when I started the company."
Are you that stupid? Word of mouth is the strongest promotion a person can possibly have and having 20-30 people against you isn't a good thing considering you're as small as you are. Besides that, these 20-30 people are still considered fans and the fact is that they will be the ones to break your company. Sounds to me like they already have though. I mean you're going off bragging about how many fans you had in April of 2000? You do realize it's just about January of 2004? You should know that! Rico wasn't around back then!
I'll believe your show in April when it ACTUALLY does happen and good luck having more than 50 fans pay to see it.
F*cknut, your post just proved to me that you're even dumber than I originally thought. You go and say, "This would of given London's wrestling fans the ability to follow a indy promotion on a monthly basis." just because of the Ice House and now that the Ice House has fallen through, so has your word again.
First of all, why the hell would you even consider the Ice House when it's not even known publicly as a sports venue any longer and secondly, there is more than one arena in town that could host a monthly wrestling event but you decide just to shout off another excuse. Use some f*cking logic, Dumbass!
Bottom line, you shouldn't be involved in the wrestling business and considering you're f*cking up as much as you are just in Ontario alone, you'd think you'd realize that. You're like a real-life cartoon charachter!
Be the Geek, Mark!

this is priceless, Just sat here for a hour reading all these messages... this is hilarious shit, you guys just can't get enough of Anderson. It's really to bad that a site that kicks so much ass has a forum that is dominated solely to bash one person and one company, But hey, if a new indy fan comes to this site guaranteed they will check out the HWF Site before the rest cause any press is good press.
Time for some people to grow up, and for whoever said that Anderson could run at any arena, that isnt true there is such a thing as ICE. and to make the comp ticket idea work im pretty sure you would need a very large venue to generate enough money from concessions and I know there is no such building in London As I was with Anderson checking out the buildings.
Ohhh and as far as 20 - 30 people against the HWF? to me I highly doubt that number is that high. I seen mostly posts from workers, and maybe 3 or 4 fans that posted and to be honest ECPUNK or whatever your name is, I bet your the first one in line for tickets! To say that HWF will only draw 50 people is so frickin hilarious, so your telling me that all the HWF Fans that ever attended a show are all pissed at Anderson (Except for 50) HAHAHA! Right Guy Right!

OK first of all I am new to London just moved here from Saskatchewan. My brother in law who lives here in London took me to the show at the Ice House when I visited last. When I moved here 3 months ago he told me that there was no more indy wrestling here in London. Kinda explain the whole spiel on "Anderson" (sorry don't know his real name) but I was excited when I learned about HWF having a show. I just want to say I have tried renting a arena for something and good luck in getting one this time of year secondly People you HAVE a guy who has done some "wrong things" that wants to run a show, try coming from a city who dosen't even have a single fed that wants to run in the city. I think everyone should give this guy a second chance and see if he really does screw up or if he has changed. And if you don't want to give him a second chance than start a fed and see how well you do. After reading all the comments on the HWF all it has done for me is want me to go even more to see what this guy can really do.

We'll see at your next "event" then if more than 50 fans show up. Hey, you want to talk about people "growing up", then try registering with this board and stop posting as a guest. It's seriously f*ckin sad that a guy the age of Anderson has to conceal his identity by using so many names just to try to build his rep again. The fact F*cknut is that you had no rep to begin with. You're just a piece of shit that happened to miss the toilet bowl.
HWF fans? Where the hell are they? Bottom line is that F*cknut won't draw more than 50 fans for his show in April and my bet is that the show won't even happen at all.

Registering so many names?
You don't even know why you are talking about. Your peers are telling you that they've had enough of you now. Have you noticed that you are now the only one bitching???

Same shit...different day.
Same ol Anderson.....different month...... different year.
You know the thing is that you can use all the excuses in the world and not one single person in the industry will ever believe you are going to run a show until you actually do. There isn't an ounce of talent that should be willing to work for this company because the show will never run. Taking a booking for the HWF means filling up a day on your calendar and passing up another booking to sit at home.
It's a sad state of affairs but HWF is a laughing stock in the dressing rooms throughout Ontario. Anyone who has respect for themselves as a worker and respects the business shouldn't take this booking. I only say that because these "phantom" shows are killing Ontario as it's hard to actually make people believe a show is going to take place when you have this garbage happening.
Granted these excuses might be valid, but the thing is that it's like the boy who cried wolf Markus. What I mean by that is that you can only use so many excuses or cry wolf so many times before nobody will believe you. It's a sick display of business ethics - a term you might want to look up.
It's nothing personal between you or I either Mark. It's stictly a thing where I hate to see this happening to wrestling and wrestling fans. I just hope that you are going to run shows again because when you did - they were good shows. However, it's just one of those things where you disappoint would-be fans on a regular basis and that is where my problem is.
Please Mark....only advertise a show when you know it's 100% going to run because you are not only killing your business, the HWF name - but you are also killing the wrestling business at a whole.
I'd sign my name but apparently you aren't going to read this anyways.
Sincerely, One Wise Man

well, I read it and I would like to know your name. You see that is the problem with most of Ontario and it's "workers".....well....one of many. Everyone is quick to jump on someones back, and granted, it is not without warrant, but please people.....have the balls to sign a real name when making a point.
Just like when you say...nobody should take Anderson serious....why should they take you serious if you aren't willing to place a real name behind your convictions?

OK, I read Mark's post and he said that he has a show booked for the 24th of April at Medway arena. I figured I would check with Medway to see for myself and not rely on other people's rants and stuff like that.
So I just got off the phone with the guy from Medway and there is NOTHING booked on April 24th. He also said they probably wouldn't book anything right now becuase the jr. b team may still be playing.
BTW, he checked the hall as well and again, nothing booked.
I tried to help Mark by backing up his post but based on my information as of today at 2.30, there ain't no show at Medway.

Well, As soon as I heard that Robb had made that post I decided to come on here and straighten everything out. I have in fact talked with Wayne Morningstar with the City Of London, and im sure if you had of mentioned my name or the HWF he will recall our conversation. He did not want to confirm the booking with me untill the JR B Hockey Playoff Schedule was Released, which is quite understandable. But I was told he would be contacting me as soon as that did happen so we could confirm the date.
There last regular season home game is Saturday 02/14/04 7:30 PM - VS Leamington. I have been told to recontact his office as soon as the Playoff Schedule has been released. When I contacted Ontario Hockey Association about a playoff schedule they informed me there Playoffs run 6 weeks, and will be over by the begining of April. thus meaning the Ice will be out by the April 24th Date and that date will be given to me.
I will make the Call again to Morningstar Wednesday AM to find out why he said what he said to you Robb. But I have been promised this date.

You know I just read TID's post and he is right.
So I figured the person who is "One Wise Man" should admit who they are......so that's what I'm doing.
You see, I wrote the above post and didn't sign it. The reason I didn't sign it wasn't because I was afraid to sign it in any way.......it was because it was a post that was meant to not have any specific identity.
The reason for no specific identity you ask? Well that's pretty simple and I'll explain it. You see, it shouldn't matter who said what I said earlier, provided coming from anyone involved in the business. You see, I believe that the majority of workers have been impacted by the "phantom shows" that have been run by said promoter in the past. Therefore for the most part, it shouldn't matter who said it because I know a lot of workers fall into the same thought process on this topic and who are pissed off with the falsehoods being represented.
In any event, it's just one of those things where I just can't help but shake my head at the whole situation. It just sucks to see disappointed fans in London who want Indy wrestling but it never gets delivered to them.

"It just sucks to see disappointed fans in London who want Indy wrestling but it never gets delivered to them."
In all fairness, as a fan, that's what disappoints me. I'm a huge fan of wrestling and have been for the past 23 years. I attended the 1st show at Medway and then again at Centennial Hall. I'll admit, the shows were great. But that was then and this is now.
Nowadays a promoter could care less about the fans. I sat front row at SmackDown! here in London back in February and the WWE promised Hogan. Then the show hits and regardless of the number of fans that showed up or the number of t-shirts sold, Hogan no-showed. Blame Vince totally.
I went to a "card" back in 2002 I think in Paris, Ontario that was supposed to feature Sunny (Tammy Sytch) & The Missing Link. The Link showed up. Tammy was nowhere to be found. Neither was a ring or a promoter for that matter. The worst ever.
I went to a card at Fanshawe College here in London for another promotion right after the HWF's 1st show. They promised Scorpio, Edge, Christian & Shane Douglas. The only one that showed was Scorpio.
There was a HWF card back in May of 2001 that was supposed to feature Lawler, The Kat & a few of WCW's Lucha Libre stars. I didn't get the chance to go so I don't know how many showed up.
I'll admit that to my knowledge, Anderson has delivered what has been promised. But, with the stories from fans & talent over the past 2 years and the fact that he has now cancelled a card slated for January 3rd and the fact that there is skeptism over the April date, how can the guy be trusted?
He wants people to take him seriously and professionally as a promoter but is it seriously possible? Here's a guy that has delivered in the past but here's also a guy that sat front row at the Fanshawe College event I previously mentioned, laughed at who they brought to town (By the way, Don Callis, Scott D'Amore & Rhyno were also part of the card), watched Larry Destiny and Magnus wrestle and then told them to F*ck Off from his fed because they worked another indy card. This is the indies and guy's are barely making a descent living and he acts like Vince McMahon back then.
Here's my question to you Anderson....
I've gone to your shows in the past, I've seen you personally act like a jackass and I've heard alot of crap about you and the HWF and then XWC over the past couple of years. Why should I, being in London and being a huge wrestling fan, buy a ticket to the HWF show in April?

Post by Anderson on Dec 24, 2003 0:02:20 GMT -5
Okay, I tried to be nice and diplomatic but fuck it. I have heard enough of this shit to last me a life time. I'm tired of these 'WORKERS' coming on this site and claiming Anderson is killing Wrestling in London. (Shit Indy Wrestling was dead before I ran London in the first place) MY ASS i'm killing wrestling in london, I may have fucked over some talent and pulled a few scams in my day. But the last few shows that you like to refer as 'Phantom Shows' never were promoted and tickets were never even sold. If a promoter had promoted a show and sold 100's of tickets then pulled out thats one thing, but NO TICKETS have ever been sold for a show in London that I cancelled. The 20 Wrestling Fans that still follow indy wrestling that live in London that come onto a site like this, I appologise to them for cancelled shows in the past. (If you try to say there is more then that.. then your full of shit, the last Indy Wrestling Show in the City that was promoted in January 2001)
So I guess i'm the Antichrist of Indy Wrestling, I'm a bad bad person.. I should be locked away.. problem is that hasn't happened yet and untill it does im not going anywhere
Finally I would like to thank everyone for giving me the drive and determination to prove you all wrong. You guys think your going to convince me to stay away from Pro Wrestling? Fat Chance.. Shit you could come here and whip my ass but that aint gonna stop me from my plans. So how about you just go collect your $20.00 and work infront fo your 75 fans and have a nice day! im telling you that this is the way it is, I don't think anyone that knows me dosent think I have the ability to draw a large house when I bust my ass.
So fuck you all and have a great night! (There Yeah Go Emanuel, watch the hits come in now!)
