Just to let everyone on here know, I am getting really tired of the flaming posts on here. This board is to talk about Pro Wrestling. It was not created as a means to personally (shoot or work) attack anyone else. I have no problem with someone voicing their opinion on any worker (Ontario or otherwise) but I am asking every one to keep it clean and respectful.
I don't want to start banning IP's and removing posts but I will if this crap continues the way it is. Right now no one needs to register in order to post but that may change if people can't start behaving themselves. If this continues then it will be required to register and log in in order to post. That would hopefully eliminate some of the problem posters but I still want to make it easy for everyone to post on here.
To all the users on the site, let me know by replying to this post if you prefer to make it mandatory to register in order to post on the board.
Also, let it be known that although I can't set the options to show the IP's to everyone I will be opening a new Catergory for any IP requests. If you want to know the IP address of a particular poster then request it there and I will reply with the IP.
To all of you that use this board respectfully, thank you. Let's keep this board active and let's talk more wrestling and less insults.

I say don't have people create an account to post on this board.
I think there will always be this "problem" no matter what. If someone wants to post discriminatory remarks about someone they will find a way to do it.
An option is to screen the posts before they get posted. I've seen message boards do this (like the one on tsn.ca/wrestling) but that would be a hell of a lot of work for one guy running the site.
E-Man, if someone really, really needs and wants to post, I think they'll find a way to do it.
Let that person stick their own foot in their mouth if they want and let the other posters on this board take it the way they want to. I've just stopped listening to all the shit that people say on this board.

well, if you make registering mandatory, and some of the guests start registering, it will look a lot better. after all, if someone new comes to the board and sees a higher member count, changes are they'll stay rather than just assuming the board isn't that active. i think the IP requests should be done through PM though. if i might make a suggestion: fighting is inevitable on message boards. i'm a moderator on another board, and we used to have the same problem over there. so, we opened a flame forum. that way, members can still get their frustration out about other members and such, but it won't be filling the rest of the board. the normal threads that turn into fighting can be moved into the flame forum.

but some people are not comfortable putting their personal information out on the net, even if it's just to the admin. besides, it's too easy to lie about those things. that, and i'm pretty sure proboards doesn't have options like that. i don't think they let you edit the requirements for registration.

I just dunno which way to take in all this, whether to be a positive or a negative .....But anyway I agree with a lot the info going on here....Because for fact I've tried getting on to some of these indy boards, and well my experience tells me that yeah they're much more strict about edit and other functions, but really my own personal feeling is We can fix it temporary, but it won't be the final answer...And quite honestly I agree totally with Jeff from the heel section and let everybody make an ass of themselves on here, cuz frankly I plus others have seen people do it already so why stop something they'll teach them not to do it repeatedely....Sure it may make us the bad boy forum, but quite honestly it maybe a good thing because people wanna be with the in crowd when it comes to indy forums and websites, they see this and well some maybe turned off, but others may see this as an opening to click start with a group that they can feel aligned with........

heh, lost the crowd AGAIN Ryan I think i see what you're saying though. basically we can try to fix the problem, and it may work short term but in the long run things will go down the tubes. some indy boards seem to have rule-nazis managing them, and with all the aruging and what not here, it may seem a lot less strict here to some (though some are turned off by all the bickering). although some are turned off of this board because of the arguments, some are drawn to it because it gives them a chance to pick what side they want to be on. how's that for a translation? anywho! that's why i suggested the flame forum. there is no way to get rid of fighting on message boards, and since the arguments on this board appeal to some, give them their own forum for it so they can still bicker, but without contaminating the other threads.
