Saturday February 21st was indeed a milestone for CGPW. After packing up the show and driving it 7 hours down HWY 401, CGPW made its official debut in Southern Ontario. CGPW CEO Joe Dunlap shocked fans in Port Rowan with the news of his corporate takeover of a small local promotion, the NWX. It was a cold and stormy night on Lake Erie but the fans still came out for this action packed card. On this night CGPW Superstar The Hickster became the CGPW/NWX North American Champion scoring a win over the bad man from Toronto Kindom James, after winning a tournament of terror, for the record, 5 minutes into the first round match The Hickster (who is 303lbs) was thrown so hard into the turnbuckles by CK Sexx that the entire rope setup on the ring blew apart, that didnt stop these two men, they wrestled the remaining 15 minutes with no ropes, this you had to see! CGPW/NWX XTREME World Champion WildThing Willy Allen successfully defended his title against the CGPW/NWX TV Champion Mr. Magnificent Austin Shaw, but thats just the beginning....February 22nd, CGPW/NWX, in front of a sold out crowd at the Ingersoll District Memorial Center, put on what was said by the fans, "the best damn wrestling event they've seen in years". This event was sponsered by Ingersoll Family Fitness, and lived up to every expectation of the hundreds of screaming wrestling fans in attendance. We would like to thank all the fans who were in attendance and the 20 plus fans that made the trek from Port Rowan to Ingersoll the following day. This goes to show that we gave them what they wanted. Although our March Event in Cornwall has been scratched as of today, due to a venue problem CGPW/NWX will be appearing live once again at the Port Rowan Community Center on Sunday April 4th at 2pm, with an April 3rd date TBA withing the coming weeks, as well as two May dates. The May 15th event will still take place at the Long Sault Arena as scheduled. We are sorry for the inconvience for our Cornwall fans, but CGPW/NWX will be back in the Seaway City before you know it. Thanks to all involved in making the first leg of our road trip a great success, and a special thanks to our ring crew. Steve and his boys did a hell of a job, keep up the good work. See you all April when CGPW/NWX takes Southern Ontario by storm, once again!! Check for site updates in the coming days at www.cgpwwrestling.cjb.net. Yours In Wrestling CGPW/NWX Press Matt Mattice

Nothing shocking here, just Doug Felton putting on his shitshow in his midget sized ring, that apparently falls apart. Nice to see that you admit to running a non sanctioned event in Port Rowan Joe Dunlop. Hopefully you made a couple bucks so you can get SARA tatoo'd on your neck. Actually, I think you and Felton make a nice couple.

It says Chase is the champion ? Did Hillbilly Jim beat Chase? I find that hard to believe....

In answer to Tyler C, The Hickster is the CGPW/NWX North American Champion, Outlaw Scott Chase is the CGPW World Heavyweight Champion and was not in attendance this past weekend, just wanted to clarify...
Now for that someone who knows......As far as running a non-sanctioned event goes, I don't run hot, and never would, these events WERE sanctioned by the commission. Oh and you are mistaken sir, you see if you had have actually been at these events you would have seen who was running them, but I guess shooting your mouth off on the computer hurts less then doing it to my face...Sarah across the neck, pretty funny, but wrong,, if there were to be a tattoo across my neck it would be your momma's name, after-all, she rocked my world all weekend and spent all your daddy's hard earned paycheck on me!!! Speaking of a perfect couple, her and I are so just call me daddy!!!! For someone who knows, you dont know shit, you just think you do, this board is getting pathetic, this is suppossed to be about wrestling information, not a personal attack zone. Mr. Melo, I ask of you to remove that previous post due to the fact that it is slanderous and attacks my proffessionalism, I have never and will never run hot, I have no need to. I have my business together and run it very responsibly, thank you. We all know how it goes when people post on message boards, no names equals no balls. I would appreciate the removal of that thread, email me to verify Manny. Thank You Joe Dunlap

If the comments are libelous,I agree Joe you have a case. However,it seems to me that if the poster has something to say,one should hear what they have to say.One of the central tenets of free speech is equal access.Nothing that "someone who knows"has said is out of line.I do agree that he should have attended the show before calling it shit, but sometimes guilt by association can be a powerful thing. Now,I hear some of You in the Peanut Gallery saying"But Wait a minute Vito,You've worked for Felton before, how can you say negative things about him Now?"EASY,MY LOYALTY TO CERTAIN PROMOTERS STOPS THE SECOND THEY STOP USING ME(i.e.Paying me).If that makes me a prick,so be it.Just cause I whored myself before doesn't mean I will again. And I hope I get some vicious responses to this post-I'm feeling a bit more pissed off than usual lately.

I'm not one to delete posts. I feel that if I started doing that on this board then when would it end. I've deleted one post here and that was only because I felt the post was placed in an innappropriate thread. There would be very little left on this board if I deleted ever post that attacks someone (I would then have to remove yours as well). Anyone with half a brain can figure out the truth from the shit disturbers. Like you said no name posts say alot.

I think if 2 promotions can work together to strengthen each others product and reach more people then more power to them.

Hey Joe, I think the reason people thought you were running a hot show was because you did not mention the show whatsoever until after the shows were done. There was no mention or publicity online that anyone saw. This led people to believe that the people running the show didn't want certain people to know of the show.
So you can't really blame the online community too much for coming to that conclusion.

DO YOU NEED INTERNT.
Posters do very well. I know people who put on shows with no internet. If you live the area you get the show. You tell that internet ad's bring people to the shows no way. Hey look at BCW sorry guy's but you have big names and you barely get 400 to youre shows, you have problem. Internet advertising suck's. In OTTAWA last year U.W.A. put on at least 6 shows all well over 350 people with no name players. Not counting the FAIRS with well over 800 people at the smallest show. C.P.W. in HULL Quebec average over 300 a show twice a month, and somethimes over 450 people they bring P.C.O. Did you know that the QUEBEC FEDS don not need anything for shows.
And one more thing THE HARDCORE HIC or the HICKSTER, people in ONTARIO will know who you are keep up the good work. Maybe in 3 to 6 months the HICKSTER 6'6" 303 lbs and the WILD ACE 6'6" 250 lbs can resume fueding. ACE is getting better. youre days could be numbered HIC.
Best of luck to great spring and summer for wrestling.

Well you put up a good arguement for why internet is not needed when putting on a show. That was obviously in response to my last post where I said people may have assumed it was a hot show because of the complete lack of mention of the show online and most in the wrestling community hadf no idea of the show happening.
Ok.. I will give you that it isn't important then. Fine have that point. But please explain if it isn't important, then why did the CGPWNWX Press write this gigantic letter all about the shows AFTER they happened?
If the CGPWNWX didn't think that the internet was important enough to talk about the show before it happened (and maybe expose the show to some more fans within driving distance), then why the hell did they think the internet was important enough to plug the shows AFTER it happened.
Bit of a contradiction don't you think?

Well GEOFF, you have a great point. But i do know JOE and he would never run a hot show. I knew of the show and i live in OTTAWA. Ontario is strick, people go to court who run HOT shows, it happenedf in OTTAWA a few years ago, using FALSE name wrestlers. Quebec has the right idea, nothing at all. But would you run a show with NO INSURANCE, not me.
Ontario wrestlers beware the HICKSTER or the HARDCORE HIC is for real. Not bad for a 20 year old.

Yea Ed.. just to clarify I never did say the show was hot... I was just saying why some people may have come to that conclusion...
Then I thought I would point out a contradiction in logic to a followup email regarding use of the internet
