That's awesome! I recently got my tattoo touched up and added some work. (working towards a 1/2 sleeve right now) And my tattooist had some really nice framed paintings he had done in a traditional Japanese flash style. I asked him if he still paints and/or would sell them, to which he said no to both. I guess it wasnt worth his time as he makes a pretty penny tattooing. He told me when he tattoos he gets about $100hr. If a painting took him three hours he wouldnt make $300 for it.
Keep me posted on your shows I'd love to come check out the work. I'm always looking for new art for the house.

i'm still working on Donnie's idea to see if it could work. As I said I'm open to ideas......I'm bouncing around tones of ideas in my head. Anyway I'm excited because I painting I commissioned some time ago is almost ready. The guy took his sweet time, but I think it looks awesome. The painting is 36" tall x 60" long (3feet x 5feet)

I haven't had the time as of late to further develop my board concepts. The artist is on vacation right now so I guess it can wait. I'll still take a crack on Donnie's idea as I think it could look cool. Not to be anal about it but I do like to provide the artist with the most info I can. In the end I feel it helps me to get a product that I like.
All be in the painting above I left the background to the artist and I really like it. At first it was going to be (or supposed to be) the Toronto skyline. I'm sure he didn't paint it based on the time it would take. But I'm still happy!
Now I just need a truck to get it. Anyway i'll post my refined board reference material should anyone be interested. And I will fore sure post the completed project. (including an image of the mounted boards)

I'm excited I pick up this painting this week. I ran into some MAJOR car trouble that I'm still trying to sort out. Pending the result and how broke it leaves me will determine when I get a jump on the deck project. I'm in no rush now as I really haven't finalized all the art work. But I do think I will just drop off all the decks and do them one at a time !
I'll for sure post pics as available.
