As many of you IWA-MS fans know, Mid South death match legend Rollin Hard has been battling cancer for the past few years.
This week Rollin went in for major surgery and is now on life support. I dont have many details at this time as I forgot my login info for the Mid South message board but will post more when I remember it.

Me and my old tag partner Killer Kanarek had the pleasure of working Rollin and Ian Rotten about 10 years ago in Detroit. I can honestly say he's one of the toughest mother fuckers I've ever been in the ring with. If anyone can pull through, it's Rollin Hard.

Message posted by Jim Fannin a couple days ago...
I just got home from work and have talked with Ian on the phone.
Rollin was in surgery for 8 hours today.
They removed his gall bladder, spleen and pancreas. They also had to remove part of his bowel system.
They gave him some chemo treatments and he is now out of surgery.
Ian had a lot of phone calls to return so that is pretty much all I have heard so far. It is way too early to tell how successful the surgery was but we are praying that it was.
When we get further updates, we will let you know. Please keep Rollin' in your thoughts because he and his family really need it right now.
Thank you.
From Ian posted July 18
Rollin is doing well after a very painful day after the surgery. The epidural the give him did not work but they think they have the pain under control. Just to clear something up only part of his pancreas was taking out as a precaution against the cancer cells spreading. thanks Ian

I am typing you know as Ian and Patti are rushing to the hospital. Rollin's not doing too well and they are putting him on life support. So please, if everyone will, pray for Rollin Hard and his family at this time. I will try to put this out everywhere, but if you can please help me it will be appreciated.

Not much of an update, but Patti Rotten posted this today....
Ian wanted me to get on here and update everyone on Rollin. The doctors said he had a better day today. They are hopeful that he can be taken off of the ventilator later this morning or early afternoon. They are managing his pain well and Ian said it seemed like Rollin was resting as well as could be expected. I will try to update again later today, or Jim will. Jim has been talking to Ian several times a day checking on Rollin. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and support. Please keep them coming as Rollin and his family still have a long way to go. thanks, Patti

Just watching the 2008 IWA-MS King of the death Matches, This was before Rollin's surgery, he did a mic spot and told the fans, the doctors gave him 12 to 18 months to live without the surgery, and the surgery could add 6 years or take away 6 months ... so here is hoping he pulls through....

The latest updates from the IWA-MS Boards Yesterday at 10:47pm I just wanted everyone to know that I sat with Rollin today and read everything everyone has been writing to him. Thanks for all your support. He is still on the respirator and they hope to have him off by the weekend. The Dr's state it is taking longer than what they thought, but still say he will make it off. Also today I was asking Rollin's dad to get me something to drink then Rollin asked for a drink to by using his hands. I am sooooo happy that he is responding to me and everyone else around him. At least I know he is listening to me and he says he will make it though. I ask a lot of yes and no questions and he always gives me answer with his hands. Thanks again Love Angie (Rollin's Wife) Today at 12:49am I've sent emails to the three that have donated so far but wanted to put it on the board here for others to see as well. I appreciate the support and so far Stacy and I are at $65 raised for Rollin. I have a couple more donations promised to be given in person at KOCM. Thank you very much to those of you that are able to help and have done so. Also, don't forget about Clive doing the 1000 mile bike ride. I think that is an outstanding gesture from Clive and he definitely deserves kudos for doing that. So if you are thinking of donating to Rollin, you can also donate to Clive's adventure so that he knows that he is helping raise a fair amount as well. So again, thanks to those that have donated and those that have promised to do so at KOCM. If you need the information again, you can go to www.paypal.com and send your donation for Rollin to iwafannin73@yahoo.com and after the half marathon, I will get all the donations to Rollin and his family. Good day.

Latest Update from Patti... .
I just talked to Angie on the phone. She told me the doctors think they know the reason Rollin had the seizures. He was taking Xanax for anxiety before he went into the hospital. When he went in for the surgery , they didn't give him his Xanax anymore, so he was cold-turkey from them. They have now put him on another drug to help with that. Angie said he is responding to her again and the doctors hope he is over this problem. So keep those prayers coming!
Kevin ask about Henry (Rollin's dad). He seems to be ok now. Of course as well as can be expected. I can truely say I know how Henry and Linda feel. When James Christopher was going thru his surgery and we didnt know if he would make it or not, the feelings of helplessness, panic, and everything else. It almost gets to be too much. I don't know if people realize it, but Rollin is their only child. So please include them, Angie and the kids, Autumn & Justice in your prayers also.
Thanks to everyone who came out last night to support us. I believe your chants for Rollin were heard. I'll give you more updates as we get them. Patti

No new updates as of yet today, as of last update, Rollin is doing "ok".
It is amazing the way the IWA-MS fans/family have really kicked it up as far as supporting Rollin goes. His wife, Angie is off work while Rollin is in the hospital. Her employer has told Angie that her job is safe. But, there is no way they can pay her if she is not working.
The fans/family of IWA-MS have been sending in donations and one fan from the UK is a cyclist and is using his upcoming race to raise money for Rollin aswell. So far just from fan donations the have raised $500 to help with Rollin's expences.
A correction in my earlier post about Rollin's mic spot from this years KOTDM, The Doctors have given him 18 to 24 months to live, NOT 12 to 18. But also the surgery he had could still add 6 years to his live if it was a success, if not, it will take 6 months away.

Just wanted to let everyone know Rollin is doing good. The Drs took him off the respirator yesterday for 4 hrs to see how he would do and he did great so the plan was to take him off again this morning for 4 more hrs and if that went well he was going to be taken off tomorrow, but Rollin made his own plan and pulled the tube this morning about 1am so the Dr said lets see how he does before we put it back in. Rollin has been off the respirator since 1am. I would like to thank everyone again for your prayers. We still have a long road ahead of us but at least at this time he is breathing on his own.
Love Angie (Rollin's wife)

Latest updates.... From Angie .... Rollin wanted me to get on here and give a update, he is doing well and we hope to be out of ICU by Monday, he has fuild on his lungs and they will be getting that taken care of on Monday too. He would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and he hopes to be able to get on here himself to do these updates soon. From Jim Fannin I wanted to get in here and give an update after the show tonight.
With the money that was donated to me for the half marathon tonight (including a very generous $300 check by two very loving and caring individuals that don't want to be named publicly), Stacy and I are over $1000 donated so far.
This is way beyond my wildest expectations when I started this campaign.
The half marathon is a week from today so there is still time to go to www.paypal.com and send a donation to iwafannin73@yahoo.com if you want to help out Rollin and his family.
Thank you to everyone that donated at the show tonight not just to my campaign for the half marathon but also to those that bought the shirts and hats and participated in the raffle for the TPI tickets.
I know Rollin and his family are very appreciative as well.
Good day.

From Angie...
Rollin is out of ICU, but is still in the hospital. He is doing well. He is now eating and he has no tubes. We hope maybe in the next week he will be able to go home or to another place for rehab. I would like everyone to know that I am very thankfull that Rollin has friends that care about him as much as the IWA family does.
Love Angie (Rollin's wife)
